What it is
Orthokeratology (Ortho-K) lenses are rigid contact lenses worn overnight that gently flatten the cornea, so you can see clearly during the day without glasses. In Korea they are widely called “dream lenses” (드림렌즈) and are often prescribed for children with worsening short sight.
What the price includes
HIRA lists a price for each lens model. It does not say whether the figure is for one lens or a pair, and the fitting exam and check-ups may be extra — ask the clinic what the quote includes.
Health insurance
Ortho-K lenses are not covered by National Health Insurance.

Questions
Do Ortho-K lenses cure short-sightedness?
No. The effect wears off within a day or two if you stop wearing the lenses. Some eye doctors use them to help slow the progression of short sight in children.
