What it is

Hepatitis A spreads through contaminated food and water. Korea has had outbreaks among adults in their 20s–40s who were never vaccinated, so doctors often recommend the vaccine to adults who have no antibodies. The full course is two doses, at least six months apart.

What the price includes

Prices are per dose and include the injection fee. A full course often needs more than one dose. Adult doses (1.0 mL) and child doses (0.5 mL) are listed separately.

Health insurance

Children are vaccinated free under the national programme; adults usually pay these prices.

Questions

Do I need a blood test first?

Many Korean clinics suggest an antibody test for adults, because people who were already infected are immune and do not need the vaccine. The test is charged separately.
