What it is
The varicella (chickenpox) vaccine prevents chickenpox. In Korea one dose is given to children at 12–15 months; adults who never had chickenpox may be advised two doses.
What the price includes
Prices are per dose and include the injection fee. A full course often needs more than one dose.
Health insurance
The childhood dose is free under the national programme; extra doses and adult doses are paid by the patient.
